For this Telus pocket design, I wanted to celebrate the year of the wood snake by incorporating a friendly snake wrapped around a blossoming tree with glowing lanterns. I was really inspired by traditional paper cut designs and beautiful Chinese style paintings that often feature animals and nature as a central theme. Since flowers are such a big part of Lunar New Year celebrations, I included a gold foil floral pattern on the snake body and blossoms on the tree. The bright lanterns were added to give the design a magical, lively feel. My goal was to blend tradition with a sense of celebration and make it feel vibrant and welcoming
