Fu 福 Lu 禄 Shou 壽 Xi 喜 is a blessing of good fortune, wealth, longevity, and happiness to the surrounding Chinatown community. In Chinese tradition, these symbols of prosperity are often represented by the ox, deer, cranes, and peonies and are common symbols seen at celebratory events. Located in the heart of Vancouver’s historic Chinatown, “Four Blessings” is a vibrant and hopeful message that there is much to be celebrated despite the challenges in the surrounding neighbourhood.
